5 Things that Made me Smile

1. My wonderful Husband. I wasn't feeling too great at the beginning of last week, but as a stay at home Mommy I fully expected to just "suck it up". When I got out of bed and walked into the living room Tim surprised me when he looked at me and said "what are you doing up you don't feel good?!" He had planned to work from home and let me rest that day =) Such a good hubby!

2. New Words! I had a very DEEP conversation with Austin the other day...
Me: Austin say Mama
Austin: Mama.
Me: Austin say Dada
Austin: Dada
Me: Austin say Dog.
Austin: Dog
Me: Austin say...Cat?
Austin: CAT!
Me: Austin say Kisses
Austin: Nahh!!!
then he proceeded to roll on the ground laughing! It was so cute, funny and exciting that he said cat for the first time!
3. Home made Dinners! Saturday night I made a delicious meal for Tim since he has been working so hard lately, and had to work all day Saturday! I made Beef Stuff Poblano Peppers, Mexican rice, and black beans! So yummy! Austin went to bed early that night and Tim and I got to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner and evening together.

4. Something that DID NOT make me smile this week: We lost a member of our family, Fluffers the cat. He was my cat before I had met Tim. He was a good cat. The Animal shelter had picked him up and called us to come get him, but since he wasn't looking well they ran some tests. He turned up positive for feline leukemia and aids. He was in a lot of pain so we made the decision to put him to sleep. I went to say goodbye and then brought him home to be buried in the back yard next to his sister Ariel. It was a very sad day for me ...but.....

5. Tim being so supportive. Tim was so understanding and supportive. I know some people think "its just a cat" but I am an animal lover and its always hard to loose a pet for me. Tim was very sweet. He buried Fluffer in the back yard and said a few words for me. =)
