Fire Station Tour

For those of you who don't know, this week is Fire Safety week! In honor of Fire Safety week I arranged for a Fire Station Tour for our playdate group! It was so cool! The Firemen were super nice and did a great job talking to the kids. They taught them how to stop, drop and roll. They showed them all the gear and had one of the men get into the full get up! There is a lot more too it than I thought! They are tested and have to be able to get everything on in less than 60 seconds! The best part was when we got to play on the truck! The kids just loved it, and Mommies got some great photo ops! Unfortunately our tour got cut short after that. We heard the alarms go off in the station and the Firemen were off! It was kind of cool to see them drive away in the truck while the kids stood outside and waved them goodbye!
Afterwards I had lunch with a couple friends and then finished up some errands. We have tons to do this week before our big trip to Wisconsin! This will be our first plane ride with Austin, so we are nervous and excited. I'm also happy to report that my camera has been found and I will be getting it back on Friday =)

Some of my Mommy friends were nice enough to take photos for me today =)
