Fabulous Friday!

This week has been great! I've mentioned it before, but I've gotten in contact with Lauren, a girl I went to high school with who now lives in Georgetown. We have had a blast together this week! We have so much in common, we live very close to each other and the kids play so well together! Today we went to the Splash pool! Some of the other mom's from our group were there as well. We played all morning! Austin and Bella just LOVE the water! After the pool we went back to Lauren's house and she made lunch for us! It was so nice! While Lauren was preparing lunch we put Bella in her walker. She is only 5 months old so she hasn't figured out how to get the walker to move just yet. Austin went and stood by her to play with the toys and talk to her. Very quickly he realized he could push Bella in the walker! It was the cutest thing ever and Bella loved it! Lauren took a video of it so I'm hoping I'll be able to upload that later. Austin's other favorite thing at Bella's house is the dogs! They have two big dogs that are so sweet! Austin had such a fun time playing with them. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable afternoon. This evening we were babysitting Caitlyn while her Mommy and Daddy had a date night =) The kids played, we watched a movie and went to the park! What a fun and BUSY day!
Tomorrow night we are all going over to Lauren and Bella's house to grill! The Daddy's will get to meet, we are so looking forward to it!

P&P

This morning we got some much needed rain! The rain stopped just in time for us to go to our play date. We went to our friends house and let the kids play while the Mommy's talked. When we came home there was a package on my doorstep! Our Piggie and Paws prints came today!! We did these prints at Brooklyn's Birthday Party back in May. Kirsten was sweet enough to mail them to us as soon as she got them. They are SO CUTE! I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. The space ship will go in Austin's room and the rooster is for Gramz, she plans to hang it in her kitchen =) Thanks for mailing them to us Kirs! I will be hosting my own P&P party in a couple weeks!

Wonderful Wednesday

This morning we went to the Georgetown Library with Ginger and Lydia to see the Bubble Lady! The Bubble Lady told the kids all about how bubbles are made, why they are different colors and all sorts of cool stuff. She made lots and lots of bubbles that kept getting bigger! she even put a kid IN a bubble, way cool! Austin did pretty good for the show, but was more interested in eating gold fish with his friend Meghan hehe. My mom's group was there as well so we got to see lots of our friends today! i didn't get too many pictures because bubbles don't photograph well! After the show we had lunch with Ginger and Lydia at the Monument Cafe, a local Georgetown place. So yummy! This evening Austin and I went to the park in our neighborhood to swing and play for a bit. I made a wonderful dinner, and then went to pull weeds yay! I'm hoping my flowers will make it now that the weeds are gone and they got a drink of water! =)

Mommy loves bubbles haha! Smile!
That was a SMALL bubble..they just got bigger!
Lydia got her face painted, a puppy her favorite!

A Walk in the Park

Through the use of Facebook I have gotten in touch with a girl I went to High School with who just moved to Georgetown! Not only does she live in Georgetown but she lives in the subdivision right by ours. She has a little girl who is undoubtedly the most beautiful little girl I have ever seen! Her newborn pictures belong in a magazine! I invited Lauren and Bella to join us today for our play date. The Georgetown library was putting on an even that was supposed to have a petting zoo and pony rides, but the petting zoo people never showed! This resulted in an extremely long line for the swings and ponies. Our group of moms decide to head over to a different park instead. I'm glad we made that decision! It was a great day to be outside. There were lots of new members to our play date group and I really enjoyed meeting all of them. I'm excited that they've joined because there are now 3 more kids that are Austin's age! We had a nice picnic lunch at the park and played until the kids got tired.
This evening Mommy went to step class while Austin played in the Sitter room at the Rec Center. He had a lot of fun and Mommy got a good work out. When we came home Austin pretty much went straight to bed! He had a long but GREAT day! =)

WHOA!! hehe i love this face!

Just another Monday

We had a great weekend at home. On Sunday we went to the pool and swam and ate a picnic lunch. It was very relaxing! We really needed a weekend at home by ourselves! Today Austin and I ran errands and cleaned up the house. Tomorrow we are meeting our play date group at a park where the Georgetown Library is putting on an event. There will be a petting zoo and pony rides! We are extra excited because we will be meeting up with an old friend. I found a high school classmate through facebook who not only lives in Georgetown, but lives in the neighborhood right behind ours! She also has a little one, so they will be joining our play date group tomorrow. I can't wait! It should be a fun day!
Here is the latest video of Austin walking. =)

Cajun Baby

Today was GREAT! We haven't had a weekend at home, or at home without company in MONTHS! We had a very relaxing day. Daddy took a nap while Austin and I played trains. And then Mommy got to take an afternoon nap while Daddy and Austin hung out together. For dinner we went to a place called Razoos. I had never been there before and Tim hadn't been in years. It's Cajun food "New Orleans" style. The food was pretty good but my favorite part of the night was watching Austin Dance in his seat to all the Blues and Jazz that was playing. He was so funny to watch! This kid LOVES music and LOVES to dance! We are back at home now and Daddy and Mommy are going to watch a movie together. Church in the morning and maybe a trip to the park =)

BUGS!

Today, was a weird day. It started out great. I found my wallett that had been missing in action since Friday. I had actually dropped it in a parking lot! but someone had turned it into one of the stores in the strip center..the place I go to get my nails done. Good karma for that person! Austin and I then went to the Georgetown Library for "Bugs of the World with Jungle Jim!". It was a lot of fun! The guest speaker told us all kinds of neat things about bugs of the world! He even brought some of the creepy crawlers with him! After he was done talking the kids got to go up and see the creatures up close. I wasn't sure Austin would pay much attention but he just loved it! His favorite thing was the taranchula! Ew! There were several different ones, and Austin stood there pointing, and talking to them through the glass haha!

So the weird part of the day came at about 4 pm. Austin got up from his nap and sounded horrible! he had a little cough yesterday but nothing too bad. But after his nap it was so bad he was having trouble breathing. We went to the Dr. right away. Since his oxygen levels were low and he wasn't responding to the breathing treatment they sent us over to the ER..oh what fun. We weren't there too long thank goodness, but they did tell us that Austin has croup. He had to do another breathing treatment and get a really big shot! no fun! He should be better in a couple days =) I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day over all.

Baby turtle sticking his head up to say 'hello!'
Now that is a big crab. They get so big that they can't find a shell to fit in, they live in a hole in the ground.

See what is on his shirt? yes that is a Taranchula

Bugs of the World with Jungle Jim at the Georgetown Library!

Jungle Jim, and a big snake!

Austin's Favorite thing was Mom's least favorite....the TARANCHULA! EW! but did you know that no one in the world has ever died from a taranchula bite? and that some kinds don't bite at all!
Pointing at the big hairy spiders!!!

Austin was so excited to see all the creepy crawlers up close, what a BOY! (he was telling the little girl behind him to Look!) lol

TURTLES!

Austin loves books! First Trip to the Library...I see many more trips here in our future =)
