Austin's Baptism

We had a lot of Family and Friends in town this weekend for Austin's Baptism. It was a great weekend. Tim's parents came into town on Friday and we grilled brats and hot dogs here at the house. We had a nice quiet evening before the Festivities of the weekend.

Saturday afternoon My parents, grandparents, brother and his girlfriend, and Kristin all arrived. That night we went out to dinner on the Lake. Great view! We sat outside and drank margaritas and enjoyed the sunset.

Sunday was of course the Baptism! Of course I was very emotional! It was just very special to be able to stand in front of God and everyone and share my baby boy. He is truly the most amazing thing I have ever done. He was in a great mood and smiled during the entire Baptism. At one point the pastor took him and walked up and down the isle of the church so that everyone in the pews could see him while we sang. He was such a ham and smiled at all the ladies, or so we were told after the service haha. The church was just beautiful and the people so kind.

After the service we came back to the house for lunch, Cesar salad and home made chicken pot pie. Before we sat down to eat Tim prayed over Austin as his grandfather once did over him. Grandma Claussen was able to be on the phone during the prayer. I also said a word about the Godparents we have chosen for Austin. Kristin Price is Austin's Godmother and my best friend for life. I have known her since I was six years old. She has been there for me through everything. She is the sister I never had. She is truly a life long friend and I know that she will be a very special person in Austin's life. Jeff Molepske is Austin's Godfather and Tim's brother. Not only a brother in law to me but a friend. I love all of the Molepske boys, but Jeff and I have had the chance to get to know each other over the past few years and I know that he too will be a very special person in Austin's life. Austin is also Lucky to already have 5 Uncles; Matthew, Steve, Greg, and Eric. 1 Aunt and a cousin; Lindsay and Madison.

I know this is a long blog but I just wanted to share what went on with those of you who were unable to be here. We did miss you. Thank you to everyone who made the drive to Georgetown. Austin says Thank you too!
