Only 9 more weeks!


we have been having a very busy but wonderful summer!! sorry i'm not keeping up with the blog like I would like to..but here are a few random pictures. We've been swimming, going to the park, hitting up market days, going to the library, and lots more! And of course..getting ready for baby brother!! I'm super excited for this weekend because it's my baby shower!! I have some amazing friends who are throwing it for me!! look for pictures next week =)

Hair Cut

Summer is in full forse here in TX and it's a HOT one!! I decided to give Austin a hair cut..and we buzzed it pretty short! and he looks so stinkn' cute!

Bugs

Monday we went swimming at a friends pool and had a blast! As we were getting ready to leave when the kids found this HUGE bright green grasshopper! Which totally freaked me out..I don't do bugs lol. But of course it was MY SON who was totally amused by the giant bug! He was laughing as he tried to chase it, pick it up and throw it on Mommy...I am in SUCH trouble with two boys!! LOL

Let's go to the movies!

Tuesday is free movie day at Citylights theater in Georgetown! They play a kids movie in the morning and it's free admission! I thought this was a perfect time to take Austin to see how he would do since he has never been before. We got our popcorn and coke..but didn't get there early enough to get the best seat. We ended up on the third row which i wasn't happy about when we first sat down. However, it worked out great! we were close enough that everything was super exciting to Austin but far enough that Mommy's neck didn't hurt haha! Austin did so great! I got lots of "Woahh!"'s every time something cool would happen. He especially loved eating his very own popcorn! I'm so happy that he sat through the entire movie! Daddy can't wait to take us to the movies now! =)

Swimming and Tie Dye!

Last Friday we had a Tie dye party with our playdate group, and it was so much fun!! Ms. J was our hostest with the mostest! She had a kiddie pool set up, tie dye cupcakes, and an awesome playscape for the kids to play on! Austin just loves his three little girl friends and swam with them all morning! He also really enjoyed chasing the goats around LOL! Such an animal lover! For such a messy project I'm shocked at how well everyone did! Now we have these awesome shirts to wear this summer. I even did two onesies for baby brother =) so look for a tie dye picture of the boys in August! LOL

Last Saturday we went to the animal shelter. I had read on the GT website that they were in need of "foster parents" for puppies and kittens. They are so over run with unwanted/orphaned kittens right now that they just don't have any space for them. So we are doing our good deed for the month of June! We brought home a litter of 7 kittens! They are about 3 weeks old and were brought in by someone who decided they didn't want the litter of kittens their cat came home with. (grr!!) I have such a soft spot for Cats that this really upsets me! I understand not wanting to keep 7 kittens, but the right thing to do is let them nurse and stay with the Mama cat until they are big enough to be given away. Because they didn't have that time with the Mama cat we have lost two of the kittens since last week =( I was so sad! They were having some bad tummy issues (which can kill them super quick) and one was about half the size of her sisters. RIP Tiny and lady Gaga. The other 5 seem to be doing well and are on some meds to help them. Austin just LOVES the kitties! a little too much some times lol. It's been a really good way to teach him "gentle with the baby!". His favorite thing to say to them is "Bye kitty, see you!" I love helping out a good cause but I sure hope the rest of these guys make it!!
