Last night I went to the movies with some friends and saw Sex and the City 2! Over all I really liked it..minus the annoying people sitting behind us who talked through the entire movie! I really hate it when people do that! But there were parts that made me get teary-eyed and parts that made me laugh my ass off!
Today I hit Old Navy's big clearance sale and got the boys (the boys! plural!! LOL) some fall/winter clothes. My big "score item" was a super cute shirt for Austin that was $1.00!! haha! gotta love a good sale!
Our other big adventure today was kittens...lots and lots of kittens..i will update on that later ;)
My Baby Bump is growing! This little man kicks all. the. time! Big Brother Austin is doing great as well! His most recent favorite words are: Dude, PaPa, Mimi, and Mayo. Papa of course is my Dad, "Mayo" is Uncle Matthew, and it looks like Grams might have a new name..Mimi! His most recent stats are 30.5lbs and 2ft 11 inches tall! He is my little sunshine, always happy and ready to be a big brother!!

I love you so much! I have an amazing life and I am so thankful for everything we have together.
Thank you to all of our wonderful friends and family who sent us well wishes on our Anniversary!

Moments to laugh at
Moments that you just have to laugh at...
This morning Austin and I were eating breakfast together, oatmeal and a banana. I break off a chunk of banana and hand it to Austin..he gives me a look, pretends to take a bite of it, sits the banana behind his bowl of oatmeal trying to hide it..then looks up at me and says "All Gone!" with a big smile on his face! LOL I couldn't even get mad..it was just too darn cute!

The babysitter
Tim and I got into a discussion last weekend about different styles of parenting. He suggested I blog about it, and after observing more and more "babysitters" I thought I would. What do I mean by babysitter? Well, I think there are two types of parents in this world. There are those that cherish every moment (good and bad) with their children, are always looking for teachable situations to better their children, and view the health and happiness of their children as the most important thing in their life. Then you have those parents who are just trying to make it through the day, give into frustrating situations just to end a battle, rarely hold their children accountable for their actions, and are more concerned with their own life goals and happiness over their children's. These are the babysitters, I see it every day and it truly makes me sad. This is the Mom who seems to loose it over nothing in Target, is whining in response to her preschooler, and always complaining about how hard she has it as a Mom. I don't understand these parents. I'm not trying to judge or say I'm better than anyone else, but one thing Tim and I continue to hear is "oh you just got lucky with Austin". Well, yes, he is an amazing little boy and we are VERY LUCKY. But I refuse to believe that it's nothin' but luck. Sleeping through the night by 8 weeks old, potty training before he was two, having a smooth transition to a big boy bed, having good manors, and just being a well behaved kid doesn't all happen magically, trust me! There are tantrums and plenty of trips to the naughty chair..but that's called parenting! And if you think these milestones are "silly" and don't really mean much, then you obviously aren't a parent yet! Because getting through them can be hell! You can't expect your children to just wake up one morning and be perfect angels. You are the adult, and you are going to have to be the one to put in the hard work. As a stay at home mom I have my own troubles, my own frustrations and plenty of bad days..trust me! But over all, I LOVE what I do..and what do I do? I'm a Stay at Home Mom and proud of it! Each day is a new opportunity to teach Austin something new, to share fun moments, make new friends, be adventurous, and ultimately shape him into a wonderful little MAN. I'm a Mom..a friend, a wife, a nurse, a teacher, a cook, a chauffeur, an event coordinator..and yes even a housekeeper! Never A Babysitter.

Quote of the Day
new hair cut...
and Austin trying to take his own picture lol

"Thank you for coming to my Birthday Party Miss Jessica and Austin!" - The Birthday boy
I just love it when kids are so sweet and polite!! It totally melts my heart! We went to one of Austin's friends 4th birthday today. It was outside at a park and I was a little worried that we would be soooo HOT! But luckily the park is beautiful and has amazing trees. We sat on our picnic blanket under the tree most of the time and just enjoyed hanging out while all the kids ran around on the playground =) Good day!

23 Weeks
How far along are you? 23 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: OK so I'm doing better on the gaining weight thing, still not really where I "should be" at this point in my pregnancy, but the baby is growing and doing fine so i'm happy with it.
Maternity clothes? yes..and the bump is showing more these days. I'm now on the hunt for the perfect outfit for my baby shower =)
Best moment this week: Sunday was Mother's Day and it was wonderful! I slept in and was served breakfast in bed by Mr. Austin. He even sat in bed with me and helped me eat it ;) We went to church that day, had a nice lunch, opened a few gifts, and then the boys made dinner for me! It was a very relaxing wonderful day with the wonderful men in my life. Next year it will be 3 men!! lol
Another great moment was going to my ultrasound. The baby was moving so much and was even smiling! I got some amazing pictures!!
Movement: ALL. THE. TIME. I love that he moves so much, its the most amazing feeling in the world..I just wish he would take a break from 12am-8 am LOL. I've already been up late many nights letting him play soccer and get settled down for the night.
Food cravings: Haven't really had a true craving in several weeks.
Gender: It's a boy!! ALL BOY!
Labor Signs: nope!
Belly Button in or out? still a flat innie
What I miss: being able to sleep comfortably on my stomach!
What I am looking forward to: I think i've finally picked out his nursery theme/bedding...so now I can pick out a paint color and get the room started!
Weekly Wisdom: Do what out to be done. There are things in life that I really hate doing, every day small tasks that just always seem to be there waiting for me. But i've found that if I just do what ought to be done, it makes my life easier and happier.
Milestones: we have set a c-section date! just waiting on the hospital to call us back to make sure the date is good..but 99% it will be August 25th
Current Projects: about to really get crackn' on his room.
