5 things that made me Smile this week

One of my Mommy friends does a weekly blog called "5 things that made me smile this week" I think it is such a cute idea that I'm going to start doing it too! I just love reading her blog..so I hope everyone will enjoy mine too haha! So here goes, my 1st "5 THINGS THAT MADE ME SMILE THIS WEEK"

1. Austin running into Papa arms! We made a quick trip to CS on Wed. to see my parents. Austin loves all of his grandparents very much but has never really run up to my dad to give him hugs voluntarily. So I know it made him happy when he said "Austin, come to Papa" then stretched out his arms, and Austin came running up to him for lots of hugs and kisses! It was so sweet I wanted to cry haha!

2. Game night. Tim and I love to play games! Especially card games, and now we have friends who do too! Markus can Shannon came over Monday night with the kids for our very first game night! The kids played and watched a movie while the adults played a game of spades. Molepske's 1, Reagor's 0! better luck next week guys hehe!

3. New Recipes. Last week I went to a recipe swap with my Moms group. I got some wonderful recipes and decided to try a few out this week. We had a yummy Asian dish, stuffed peblano peppers, and super easy chicken tacos! All 3 were great and it was nice to try something new!

4. Playdate at my house. Tuesday I had a playdate at my house. I love hosting things at our house. I set up snacks and coffee for everyone to enjoy. The kids played and the Moms got to chat, which I always enjoy!

5. Soccer Practice. On Sat. Tim and I were babysitting 6 and 4 year old boys!! We got to take them to soccer practice, which was very fun! Austin just loves Colton and Caleb, they are so sweet to him. At one point Tim and I both looked in the back seat and said.."3 boys could be nice" LOL! It was cute to watch how Austin reacts to the boys. Everything they do and say is HILARIOUS to him! I really think Austin is starting to talk more lately thanks to being around all of his older friends!

1, 2, 3!!!

Since I've become the organizer for My Mom's group, we have been busy busy!! Last weekend we were in Dallas for a wedding. Jay and Meg who we have both known for years now tied the knot. They had a beautiful and fun wedding! Aunt Kristin was nice enough to watch Austin so that Mommy and Daddy could enjoy the festivities. =)

This week Austin and I hosted a play date at our house, made a quick trip to CS, and went to the library. Tomorrow we will be bowling! My camera is missing in action, so no pictures for now =(

But Tim did take this video at the mall..Austin thought it was so much fun to swing up in the air after counting to 3. It is really amazing how many new words he is getting out each day! I'm sure tomorrow will bring a new word!

Organizer! wahoo!

Today was a good day! I have been a member of a Mom's group here in Georgetown for several months now. I have really enjoyed getting to know the mom's in the group, it's amazing how I just "clicked" with some of the ladies so quickly and have made some amazing friends! Austin really enjoys our outings and loves playing with his friends! About a month ago the Organizer of our group made me an assistant organizer! I was so thrilled! This allowed me to host play dates, and schedule all kinds of fun things for our group. Well, our organizer just found out that she is expecting her third child! So she has handed the group to me!!! I am so excited! I LOVE hosting and planning things! I can't wait to do fun crafts, awesome play dates and outings! I just hope I do her proud! =) So stay tuned for pictures and blogs about MY Mom's group hehe! Love it!

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

For those of you who don't know, September 13th is Grandparents Day!! Austin is so lucky to have 4 amazing Grandparent's and 2 wonderful GREAT Grandmothers! We are so blessed to have them in our life! They do so much for us and love us so much!! Austin told me that his only complaint so far is that he doesn't get to see them enough! I told him we would have to work on that ;) We love our GG, Jojo, Grams, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa very much! So..

Mommy!!

I keep forgetting to blog about this!! We have just been so busy lately! But in the last week or so Austin has started saying MOMMY! His first word was Mama, and he still uses that a lot. But now I'm getting lots of Mommy's from him too!! It just melts my heart every time I hear it! He is really working on getting more letters and sounds out! He is starting to develop his own little vocabulary LOL He will also say "Wuu" Which is for his dog Wucy...aka Lucy haha! I guess we are getting to what I call the "speaking chinese" stage haha! This is where only you and your husband can understand what the heck your toddler is saying! I love it! But I'm glad I finally remembered to share this!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a wonderful three day weekend! Saturday Mommy got up and mowed the yard while Daddy took Austin to HEB! Austin came home with a Balloon tied to his wrist that he followed around all morning! so cute! Later that afternoon we headed up to the pool where we met our friends Shannon, Markus, Sydney, Colton, Caleb, Cade, Susan, John and Caitlyn, Phew!! haha! Shannon and Susan are Mom's from my playdate group. We wanted to get the families together, so we swam for a few hours and then headed back to our house for dinner. I cooked a brisket and everyone brought sides to make our meal complete! The kids were so cute! They ate dinner at the picnic bench that Uncle Matthew made for Austin. After dinner the Dad's went up to our movie room (the man cave haha!) to watch some football. The big kids played outside until dark, then came inside to watch Wall-E! Us mom's got to sit and talk all night! Which is always fun! I feel really lucky to have made such good friends in such a short amount of time!

Sunday we had a lazy day..not much to tell lol! Today We had a morning playdate at the park and Daddy came with us! We met at the San Gabriel Park which is just beautiful! we were right by the river. We painted little flower pots and planted a flower in them. Austin enjoyed getting messy with the paint and playing in the dirt! such a boy! After a little play time on the swings we headed home. Austin and I decided that we were missing Gramz and Papa so we drove to CS to surprise them! We will be here for a few days, sweet home College Station!

Happy Friday!

Today was a very Happy Friday! This morning we went to Georgetown Jump with our playdate group! We had 14 mom's and their kiddos come! There were lots of familiar faces and a few new ones. I love all the mom's in our group. Everyone is really nice and so down to earth! Austin had a ball! He really loves Caleb, Caitlyn and Sydney (3 kids from the group) and was following them around! trying to keep up! It was so much fun just watching all the kids bounce around, but I have to admit I had to try it out for myself! I got in the jumper with Austin, and had a blast! We bounced around until we could bounce no more! The kids were ready for lunch so Susan, Shannon and I(plus all 5 kiddos) went to eat lunch. Like I said, everyone in the group is great, but I have really hit it off with these two Mom's. We just talk and talk when we get together! The kids all love each other too so its so much fun to see them and play! After lunch we came home and Austin took a GOOD nap! Daddy did dinner, bath and bed time while Mommy went out to Shannon's house for a bit. =)
We are really looking forward to tomorrow! We are having Shannon and Susan's families over for swimming and dinner! Lots of fun photos below!! Enjoy!
