Swimming and a Fire

This morning we hosted a playdate at our pool! Austin just loves to swim and it's even better when we have friends over! I made trail mix and ice tea for everyone, and us mom's got to relax and chit chat while the kids played. It was great! Austin is such a little fishy! He loves having his floaties on and having more freedom in the water. He was following Sydney around and having so much fun with the other kids. After we got home and Austin went down for his nap I got a phone call from the Fire Department in College Station. They were calling Celtic Realtors, and since my parents are out of town on a cruise, THAT'S ME! They called to tell me that one of our Rental houses had a fire. So needless to say the rest of my day was filled with phone calls, insurance people, trying to find housing for 3 students and well..a little panic! Everyone that works for Celtic was AWESOME! They helped me figure out what to do and make the process pretty painless. I am just really thankful no one was hurt. About half of the house is a loss, so the fire was pretty bad. A&M was also amazing, I made one phone call and explained what had happened and they had housing for all 3 boys in less than 15 min. Thank you to all my wonderful friends and family who either called or sent me a message today. It was much appreciated. I'm so lucky to have such loving kind people in my life that are there for me!

Today Austin and I went to the park with our friends Shannon, Caleb, Sydney and Cade! The kids had fun running around the park and swinging on the swings! We stayed out all morning and then came back home so Austin could take a good nap! He gets worn out after playing at the park, i love it! Tonight we got to babysit Miss Bella! It is Lauren and John's anniversary so they went into Austin for a nice fancy dinner! Austin was happy that Bella came over to play. He was very curious to see what she was doing, always following her around. It was fun to see what life with two would be like ;)

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Today we went to the Circus! I haven't been since I was little, neither has Tim, and of course Austin has never been. So this was our FIRST family Circus! Daddy came up with the idea all on his own! We invited our friends Lauren and John and their little girl Bella to join us. We had a blast! Both kids did so great! There was so much going on and so much to see, Austin loved it all! He watched the lights, the animals, and the people very closely! Daddy even bought us a stuffed elephant to remember this trip by =) Thank you Daddy before planning such a great outing! After the Circus we went to the Hula Hut and ate lunch, yum! We came back home to relax a little and then went over to John and Lauren's to watch football (yep its that time of year again!) and eat pizza. Austin loves going over to their house because he gets to play with their dogs. It was a GREAT day! Tomorrow I take Lucy to puppy training classes, and then Austin and I head to San Antonio to see Uncle Matthew!

5 years ago Today...

Five years ago today was the day Tim and I started dating =) I knew when I met Tim he was the man I was going to marry. I feel so blessed to have found someone who loves me for who I am, that I can share anything with, and who I honestly want to spend the rest of my life with. I can't imagine my life without him. He is such a wonderful Husband and Father. How did I get so lucky??? =) August 20th 2004 is when we started dating, and August 20, 2005 is when Tim proposed to me, two very important days to me. I look forward to celebrating this and so much more with you, I love you Tim!
