Ok one quick post! My cousin Ryan is now a Daddy! His son, Derek Michael is the newest member of our family and the cutest little boy!..of 2009 ;) hehe! Isn't he adorable!?

5 Days!!

Only 5 Days until I get to see all of my family and friends! Friday night my wonderful parents and in laws will be in town for dinner. I sent out an email to anyone who I thought MIGHT already be in town that night, you are welcome to join us! Let me know if you are interested and I will get you the details! Then Saturday is the big party!! I am so excited but I have SO much to do this next week so this very well might be my last post until after the party..we'll see how the week goes! Can't wait to see everyone!

The Happiest Baby Ever!

I just have to say I am so lucky to have such an amazing baby boy. I can't believe he is turning one in less than 2 weeks! We went grocery shopping yesterday and I swear I had 5 different people come up to me and tell me "he is just the happiest baby i have ever seen!". Its so true! Today when we were walking into the rec center there were two ladies behind us and of course Austin started "talking" to them and smiling at them. They had to stop and tell me what "a cute and happy boy" he is. As if I didn't already know ;) I love him so much. He has the best personality and the most amazing smile. I can't wait to see what this next year is going to bring!! 9 Days till the big party!!!

BUSY WEEKEND

We had a very busy weekend! On Thursday I took Austin to get his first big kid hair cut! He was great! He sat very still and let the lady trim the sides and cut a little off the top. After we were done they gave him the cutest certificate that says what a "cool big kid" he is for sitting still and getting his first hair cut. They also saved some of his baby hair and taped it to the certificate for me. It was so cute! On Friday afternoon Uncle Matthew came to see us! We spent the afternoon going to Home Depot buying mulch and flowers. We came home and got to work on the yard! Saturday was another day of yard work! It was such a perfect weekend to be outside. The weather was GREAT! I sure hope its this nice for Austin's Birthday weekend! Sunday morning we got up and went to church. Afterwards we went and had lunch. The rest of our Sunday has been spent relaxing and spending time with Uncle Matthew. He was truly a lifesaver! I'm lucky to have a brother that I can talk into helping us doing yard work haha!

Time to get out the baby gate!

I have a habit of putting things on the stairs that need to be taken upstairs. So the item of the morning was Austin's Stuff Shamu we got at Sea World. I look over and Austin is on the second stair reaching for Shamu...he gets it. He then proceeds to climb up the stairs! I stood right behind him as he climbed all the way to the top! When he got to the top he looked so proud of himself, it was too cute! So it is now time to get out the baby gate!

Today Austin and I got up and started on a Pot Roast for dinner, its in the oven and smelling sooo yummy! We thought about going to CS to Celebrate St. Patty's day with the "Celtic" group, but decided to stay home and make a homemade dinner for daddy insted! My parents own Celtic Realtors (their last name is Irish, Fitzpatrick) so they usually go all out for St. Patrick's Day. They will have to party on without us this year! haha! which i'm sure they will! Hope everyone else has a great Day too!!

Short Trip

This weekend the Molepske's came down for a visit. It was Mom's spring break and we did nothing but relax! Saturday we did a little wedding shopping, ate dinner out at the Salt lick (which they had seen on the travel channel), went to Barnes and Nobel where Grandma bought us some books, and then came home to relax and play Hearts. Ask Tim who won =) Sunday we went and ate lunch at the Monument Cafe which is a local place in Georgetown. It was a very short trip! We wish they had stayed longer, but we will get to see them again in a few weeks for Austin's Birthday Party!! Thanks for a great weekend!!

Tuesday Austin and I drove to College Station..again haha! Austin competed in his first Pageant! It was too cute! It was for kids of all ages but Austin was in the "under 1" group. There was some tough competition! They had all the Mommies hold their babies and walk on stage. Then we walked back off and waited for our turn. When they called our Number we walked back on stage as they announced Austin's name, age, hair color, eye color, height, weight, sponsor (Celtic Realtors!!), and his favorite toy! As we walked on stage I let Austin stand up as I held his hands. As usual he turned on the charm! I knew he was doing well when I heard the entire audience do a collective "awwww". After the judging they called us all back on stage to announce the winners. Austin won a medal for the SWEETEST SMILE and a trophy for being the 1ST RUNNER UP OVER ALL!!! I'm so proud of him! It was something fun to do, but I am by no means turning into a "Pageant Mom" haha! After the Pageant was over we went to the carnival and rode a few rides. Austin went down a slide with me, rode in the spinning apples and the merry-go-round. The merry-go-round was a little much for him so that ride was short lived! After that we all went and had dinner. It was a great night! We are back at home now and are looking forward to the weekend because Grandma and Grandpa Molepske are visiting us!!
