Sitting up?

I'm not sure why, but some times when people log onto my blog they say that the first thing that comes up are really old posts. Like it looks like I have not posted anything for a long time. I assure you that is not the case haha. I post lots of new things! so make sure you look to the right and scroll down where it lists my post. If there is something new it will show up there for sure and then you can click it.

These pictures are from this morning, right before bath time. Austin has almost got the hang of sitting up!

BATMAN!

Ok I know it's not Halloween yet, but these are actually pj's! Gramz bought these for Austin and of course we had to try them out. The cape comes off so he can sleep in them, but then batman puts on his cape when he sees the bat signal! He is ready for action! We also got a walker for Austin to keep at Gramz' house. I wasn't sure if he would even like it let alone be able to use it. But yet again Austin surprised me! He loves it! and he is getting the hang of it! He can go backward very easily, and is starting to get that forward can be fun too! Ok so we will have more pictures toward the end of October when Batman changes into his other costumes for Halloween!

The Sky

My Grandmother sent me these pictures. This was how the sky looked in Galveston the two nights before Ike rolled in..kind of creepy..and yet beautiful at the same time. I guess God has a plan.

Open your windows!

I guess the only good thing about Ike is that it brought us some wonderful weather! We have had the windows open all week long. I love this kind of weather, it's pumpkin weather as my mom would say! Austin has gotten to wear a few of his fall outfits which is fun. We have been going outside and enjoying the fresh air. Austin loves it outside and is very intrigued with everything around him. Today Matthew will be picking us up and taking us to College Station for the weekend! This week was GG Claus' Birthday and also Great Grandma Irene! We hope they both had a wonderful Birthday week!

The West End

Well we finally got some photos of the West end of Galveston which is where our Family Beach House is located. The house is still standing, just lots of damage. Amazingly enough every house on our street is standing..just tons and tons of rebuilding and clean up to do. Here are some pictures. Oh and if it wasn't bad enough that the storm has caused all kinds of wildlife to filter into the wrong parts of the world (alligators walking across the street) Someones pet Tiger is still on the loose in Galveston. My Aunt who lives in Houston still does not have any power, and no clue as to when they will get it back. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who had it much much worse than we did. I know many people have lost everything, we were lucky.

Oh the Events

Thursday Austin and I drove to SA to see Matthew. Because of all the hurricane stuff his football game got moved from Sat to Thursday night "just in case". The Tigers beat the Bull Dogs 24 to 0!! Go Tigers! Matthew got to play yet again! He is our superstar Fish! We stayed the night in SA and on Friday we drove back home but Matthew and Gramz came with us! We met up with Tim at the Mall Friday night. We all bought new sunglasses. Tim had lost his and needed a new pair! He got a nice pair of Ray Bands and Mommy got a pair of Dolce & Gabbana. Then we went to eat on the lake at a place called the Hula Hut, great food! It was a nice night so we then decided to go see the bats! we went out on a boat under the Congress bridge where over 1 million bats live! They all fly out of the bridge as the sun sets...it was way cool! Austin got his first bat to add to his collection of stuffed animals in his room! Sat we had a laid back day and evening of a few drinks, dinner and watching a couple movies. Today Matthew had to go back to Trinity =( but we are excited because we will get to see him again next weekend! After Matt left Daddy hung out with Austin while Gramz and I went and did some shopping. We bought some new stuff for the house and spent way too much money at Sephora! But I did get some new make up and perfume, Cartier dream and charms! smells wonderful! So that's our weekend update. Gramz will be staying here until we can figure out when they are letting people back on Galveston Island. Then she and my dad will be going down to see if our beach house is still standing!

Austin the Two Toofer!

Today Austin and I ran all over town doing errands! We stooped by the office in the square to sign up for this weekends Market Days. The office is full of "grandma's" and they just looovvee Austin! he was in full "flirt" mode! when we got home I tried to take some pictures of Austin's first two teeth..but they didn't come out too clear haha. He was being a wiggle worm. But here's what I got!
