I'm and Aunt..again!

Yesterday my sister in law delivered a baby boy, Preston Davis. He looks so cute and we cannot wait to see him this weekend! I can now say I have a niece and a nephew! wahoo! I think the Molepske genes must be very strong because I see some major family resemblance between Austin and Preston! you be the judge haha! We're coming up on Austin's first Birthday so I can't help but look back at how tiny he was..they grow so fast! Congrats to Greg and Lindsay on their new addition..enjoy it!

Report to State!

Today we went to Down town Austin to the REPORT TO STATE PARADE! This is were all the boy scouts in Texas March down Congress to the Capitol. We were seated on the balcony of the Intercontinental Hotel. It was very nice! It was a beautiful Day and such a fun thing to do together!

Friday- an Early Valentine

Friday Uncle Matthew, Gramz, and Papa came to Georgetown. We stayed in and had home made spaghetti. Austin opened up his Valentine gift from Gramz and Papa since we will not see them next weekend. We had to get up early on Sat to go to the Report to State Parade so it was a low key night...Here are pictures from Friday...Report to State pictures coming up next!

Austin is a genius! GG Claussen ordered a program called "your baby can read" for her great grand kids. Once I learned what it was all about I was very excited to use it with Austin. We got Grandma Mo to mail it to us so that we could start using it at home. Today was our first day, and I have to say my kid is so smart! haha! The program consists of DVDs, books, flash cards and more. On the DVD they show the word and then show a child acting out the word. One of the words on our DVD today was Crawl. Now Austin has been doing what I call "army" crawling for a while now, but he had yet to figure out the hand knee action. Well after he watched the DVD I sat him down to play with some toys and sure enough he crawled right across the floor! Coincidence? Or did he really see the babies crawling on the DVD and figure it out??? The other fun thing to watch today was his reaction to the word DOG. I hadn't really thought about referring to Tinkerbell (our schnauzer) as just DOG. When we were reading the book and Austin saw the word dog and a picture of a dog he got really happy and started petting Tinkerbell! So yes I am a proud Mommy today. I'm really excited about continuing this program with Austin. I think he will take to it very quickly!
